Hello.
We are in our mid 50s and are going to Switzerland for 4 days beginning Feb 7th.
We are young at heart and although none of us have ever ski;d before, we want to try out sledging.
We are arriving by plane at Basel and from there we will be staying in Grindelward. We do not intend to travel around to much from Grindelward, just going up into the mountains and sledging back down is our intention.
Could you advise us based on the return journey from Basel-Grindelward and maybe 4 trips up the mountain in Grindelward
on what rail pass we should buy in Basel please.
As I say we wont be skiing, we just want to play in the snow.

Many Thanks
Speedy

Welcome to the forum Speedy! A Swiss Card would be a good solution for your trip. It allows a free return journey Basel-Grindelwald, plus a 50% discount on the trips you plan to make from Grindelwald. With a Swiss Half Fare Card, this would all cost pretty much the same, but you would have to buy discounted tickets for the trips Basel-Grindelwald and Grindelwald-Basel too in that case. That's why a Swiss Card is easier. Please find all details and purchase options at the Swiss Card page. Have fun in the Swiss alps!
