    Hello jayam4u,

I’d slightly prefer your 2nd itinerary, as that includes a train ride to Venice rather than a flight. For such relatively short distances, a train ride can be easier than a flight with its check-in procedures and waiting times. In any case, it’s much more environmentally friendly.

For this itinerary, a 4 day Swiss Travel Pass for April 8 to April 11 would be a good option. Please find details, including validity and purchase options, at our Swiss Travel Pass page. You’d probably best get regular tickets for your journeys in France and Italy (please visit the pages I linked to), but you should make calculations based on your exact travel plans to make sure.

Our hotel pages for Interlaken and Lucerne list suggestions for accommodation close to the rail stations. If you need more detailed help on finding a good hotel, please feel free to post your question to you accommodation forum.

I hope this gets you started!
