    Hi Friends

I’ll be travelling to Swiss from 19-25 July and I am very confused about the sight seeing and travelling .. These are the things on my bucket list but i am not sure whats the best way to reach there saving time and at the same enjoying the most.

19-21 in Bern , 21-23 in Lucerne and 23-25 in Zurich (Hotels are booked at these places already)

I want to visit : Mt. pilatus , Mt. Riji and Mt Titlis —– Also travel by the Bernina express to tirano and back or italy if possible in this time frame. Would really appreciate if anyone can guide me or kindly show me a sample itinerary 🙂

20 July going Interlaken so could go any other the mountains in the afternoon say after 2-3 pm (PLS SUGGEST closest mt.)

Rest days i am quite open and would like your views

    Thanks a lot

HI darsanj143 and welcome to MySwissAlps!

So, Mt. Titlis, Mt. Rigi and Mt. Pilatus are all easily (or most easily) reached from Lucerne. Bern to Luzern is about 1 hour 15 minutes so you could spend one day going from Bern to one of those mountains if you like. If you are set on going to all 3 mountains I would split it into 2 or 3 days.

If mountain scenery is what you are after I would move 1 or both nights from Bern to Lucerne or Interlaken instead. This will allow to to see a mountain in the Interlaken region much more easily – for example Jungfraujoch or Schilthorn (I would want to leave Interlaken by 12 noon at the latest to visit either mountain). A closer option to Interlaken would be Brienzer Rothorn.

The Bernina Express from any other 3 towns you are currently booked in would be hard to accomplish in one day. From Zurich and Luzern you are looking at 1.5 to 2 hours, then the 4 hour train ride itself and then back to either town would be close to 6 hours.

I hope this helps organize you a little bit – let us know if you have further questions!

    Lucas
