6 Days in Switzerland with Lausanne as base

dear all

i will be visiting swiss from 12 sep to 19 sep 2016 .

i will be staying at my cousin home in laussane.

please suggest me a 6 days itinerary for where to visit .

i will be accompanied by my wife and we will be buying the swiss rail pass for 8 days .

this is my first europe trip .so i wud like to make the most of it .

out of 6 days only 2 days planning i have in my mind

1 day for mt titlis

1 day for golden pass line panoramic train

guys please suggest me a itinerary with laussane as base city and can i cover these above 2 excursions through laussane if yes how ???

Welcome to My Swiss Alps.

September is a nice time to travel.. The weather tends to be drier.

It is nice to have a base with no hotel fees. :-)

You can do what you have asked.

Check these links, and pay attention to the map.

Please be sure to read the instructions. They will help you choose the fastest ( default) routes, or the more scenic routes.

The excursion to Titlis (Base station to use in the timetable is the village of Engelberg) may be a stretch, You have to go pretty much into Luzern, then come out that way on the trip home. That trip can use trains which go on the Golden Pass Route, via Zweisimmen, or as an alternatve, other faster routes.

Luckily, service to Lausanne will extend well into the night time.

However, check the timetable to be sure.

You might wish to try Rochers de Naye instead.
