September is a nice time to travel.. The weather tends to be drier.
It is nice to have a base with no hotel fees. :-)
You can do what you have asked.

The excursion to Titlis (Base station to use in the timetable is the village of Engelberg) may be a stretch, You have to go pretty much into Luzern, then come out that way on the trip home. That trip can use trains which go on the Golden Pass Route, via Zweisimmen, or as an alternatve, other faster routes.
Luckily, service to Lausanne will extend well into the night time.
However, check the timetable to be sure.
You might wish to try Rochers de Naye instead.
