Accomodation in Lucerne for CHF 200

Hi Would be visiting Lucerne for 4 nights starting 15th Nov. Any suggestion for best accommodation where we can cover a lot on foot or by public transport. Budget is around 200CHF .

Did you check myswissalps.com/lucern e/hotels? You'll find a list of hotels we personally recommend there. Quite some of them are located centrally, in the town center and within walking distance of the railway station. Please let us know in case you can't find suitable accommodation there. Your budget is CHF 200 per night for 2 adults, right?

We are staying in the same area and there are 4 adults we have booked the YHA in Montreux but there is also a YHA in Lausanne but having read previous posts it appears that the one in Lausanne is a little more difficult to get to

For the 4 of us in a 4 bedded room

Quadruple Room with Shared Bathroom CHF 188 swiss francs (£155) for one night mid june next year- YHA Montreux

Quadruple Room with Shared Bathroom CHF 206.40 ( £170) for one night mid june again

Breakfast is included with both booking and you can get evening meal and order packed lunches from them as well.

This in itself is a nice way to learn about the area and met many different people and cultures if you choose too. Also from past experience the people on reception are very willing to help with iteneries and provide maps etc.

Montreux and Lausanne are not near Lucerne, but I'm sure your suggestions will be useful for someone else. So thanks! There is a youth hostel in Lucerne as well.

Sorry we are actually going onto to Luzern from Montreux its only 2 1/2 hrs from Luzern and yes we are also staying in the YHA in Luzern also Luzern isn't far from Zurich depends what your plans are.
