The only place I have seen mention of a senior discount is with the Swiss pass. Are there any senior discounts on other rail passes or on individual tickets? also the city buses, ships and mountain lifts?

The Swiss Pass was discontinued in 2014. There is the Swiss Travel Pass now. All information is here: myswissalps.com/ swisstravelpass. There are hardly any senior discounts in Switzerland.
