Undecided between when to visit Switzerland. either Mid August or early October, Wish to avoid rains as much as possible for clear views of mountains & good hike, Area of travel : Montreux (3nights), Zermatt, Wengen(3nights), Luzern(2 nights) for 8 nights.

Hi jatinsmehta,

Always a tough call with weather. You can get rain in either month of course. If it were me I’d go in early October for hikes and cooler weather (less hazy for pictures).

But that means cooler temperatures all day if it is important to you or not to get warmer weather.
