I have purchased reservation tickets for the Bernina Express on 30 September travelling from Lugarno to St Moritz. At Tirano the bus arrives at 13:00 and the train departs at 13:17. Will this be enough time to find my way from the bus station to the train station? Would it be better to just catch a local train from Tirano to St Moritz to allow more flexibility?

    Your thoughts are much appreciated.

    Hi JJeff,

No worries. The Bernina Express bus drops passengers off directly at the Tirano train station and it only take a few minutes to get to the Bernina Express train.

You can find details about the Bernina Express here: http://www.myswissalps.com/berninaexpress

    Regards,

    Anna

The integrated Swiss transport system is designed so tat buses connecting with trains are just a few meters from the railway track. It normally takes less than 2 – 3 minutes to transfer between a bus and a train in all but the larger cities.
