Boppard, Germany to Interlaken with BO pass

I'm traveling from Boppard to Interlaken via Basel with a Bernese Oberland pass (no pass for Germany). I believe I read that I only purchase a pass through to Basel since the rest of the journey is covered. How does that work? Do I have to change trains? How do I inform the necessary party of my pass? Should I book the fair in advance? I'm traveling October 9. Thank you in advance.

- Regionale Pass Berner Oberland is only valid in the Berner Oberland. In you case from Bern to Interlaken.

- You must buy a ticket Boppard to Bern. Boppard is a very small station, with no ticket office. The best you can buy the ticket on line or at a greater station in advance.

Maybe they will have a staffed train station. I asked at the train information window in Cologne, but he had no information.
