Cheese & chocolate from Montreux?

We will be spending a few days in Montreux in October, and in addition to a day trip – weather permitting – to the Gornergrat/Matterhorn, we would like to do an informal cheese & chocolate tour of our own. I’ve looked at the popular Le Maison de Gruyere cheese and Maison Cailler chocolate sites noted in My Swiss Alps, but was wondering if there are other less “touristy” places in the area that would also provide tasting and buying options.

We’ve been to many other well known and touristy places in Switzerland, and with few exceptions, have not found them to be too crowded, or at least not enough to negatively impact the experience. We are after all tourists, and want to see and experience what many others do while having limited time in Switzerland. However, we also like to find places that are not as well known but equally enjoyable. Any cheese & chocolate suggestions for the Montreux area?
