    Hi,

I’m looking to buy a half fare card which I understand means we then get a free family pass and the children travel free including all the way up jungfrau.

Then I went to look at prices for booking jungfrau ahead and there’s no option to add tickets for the kids, so presume can’t do a reservation for them? (Was thinking of reservation as we will be going in a few weeks).

Do we just book tickets for the two of us and then turn up with the kids?!or do they need a ticket?

Going from Interlaken and debating the early morning ticket as another option!

    Hi Zoecrane!

That’s correct, your children will travel for free all the way up to Jungfraujoch with the free Swiss Family Card. The booking system you’re using probably just doesn’t allow for separate seat reservations without (discounted) tickets. It’s no problem. To be honest I’d advise against seat reservations anyway, as they aren’t required and as you’ll have to make sure weather is good enough to actually get up. So you’d better wait and check short-term weather forecasts. Then make reservations at a local railway station no sooner than one day ahead. Or just take an early train: tourist crowds tend to arrive later in the morning, so I’m pretty sure you won’t need any reservations at all if you leave early. Please see http://www.myswissalps.com/ju ngfraujoch/tickets for more information.

The Good Morning ticket is for travelers without a rail pass. The discounted ticket you can get with your Swiss Half Fare Card is cheaper.

Please see http://www.myswissalps.com/sw isshalffarecard/price for Swiss Half Fare Card resellers. I suggest you order through http://www.acprail.com/rail-passes/swiss-half-fare-card, as they offer low prices and and provide free shipping within the UK.
