We are leaving Zermatt on Thursday, Oct. 9 ,going to Lausanne for 3 days. The Chocolate Train from Montreux is a day long trip. I can’t find a schedule for a departure time. I am hoping to coordinate our departure time from Zermatt to catch the Chocolate Train in Montreux. Does the Chocolate Train return to Montreux? If so, would there be a place to leave our luggage? If this is not possible can we travel on our own to Gruyeres and the chocolate factory on Friday, Oct. 10? How ?

    Thank you,

    Joanne

    Hi Joanne,

The train departs at 8:57 AM from Montreux (see goldenpass.ch/goldenpass_chocolate_train). Connecting trains from Zermatt can be found in the timetable. The Chocolate Train returns to Montreux. You can store your luggage in lockers at the station. You can also do the excursion on your own. This topic mat be useful for that.
