    Hi boomcra29,

I usually try to exchange money at a bank in town (3rd party companies at airport usually charge higher rates). Normally I just withdraw money from an ATM – easiest option.

As for the motorway vignette – you’ll need to buy one if driving on highways in Switzerland.

    Thanks Lucas

Yes it’s better to exchange in banks but how long will it be opened and will it be in weekends too ?

We arrive there on Saturday around 6pm.

    Hi Boomcra29,

Banks are normally closed during the weekend, certainly on Saturday night and Sunday. Exceptions apply, like the Western Union office at the Zurich main station (Zurich HB) which is open until 9 PM on Saturday and even on Sunday. The Zürcher Kantonalbank has a temporary office at that station too until October 28.

I’d get Swiss francs from an ATM as Lucas suggests. Any remaining Euros from France can be exchanged on Monday or spend in shops that accept Euros. In both cases a fee will apply.
