When I register my Swiss Travel Card (STP) OR go online at SBB to purchases tickets , it ask if I have a DISCOUNT (Half-Fare) but not the STP

Is this because I DO NOT NEED TO BUY TICKETS and this is only for Point to Point purchase for someone that does NOT have a STP?

    Hi Brauntbone,

Welcome to MySwissAlps! How to use the Swiss Travel Pass is explained here: http://www.myswissalps.com/sw isstravelpass/howtouse.

You do not need to register the pass, nor do you need tickets for train trips as they are free. Basically all you need the SBB website for, is to search for train schedules: http://www.myswissalps.com/ti metable.

    Enjoy your trips!

    Thanks.

Do you know how the Gotthard Panorama Express from Lugano to Luzern (train/boat) works with the STP? When I go to book it ask if I have a “discount”, but only a Half Fare option is available not the STP

I know there is a supplement for panoramic trains, but should I supplement my STC nd purchase some sort of ONE DAY SAVER or HALF FARE discount?

I was relatively expensive, over 300 CF for two adults?

You’re welcome! You’ll find that information here: http://www.myswissalps.com/go tthardpanoramaexpress/ tickets. In short: you don’t need a ticket because you will have the pass. You do need the seat reservation (see the links), and if your pass is 2nd class you will need an upgrade ticket (to be purchased in Switzerland, it does not sell out).
