Has anyone flown drones in Switzerland? We will be in Zurich, Lucerne and the Bernese Oberland area in September. Do you know of any rules and restrictions in regards to flying drones in those areas?

Would appreciate some information regarding it.

    Thank you.

    Hi PeaceL,

According to local regulations, drones less than 30 kilograms may be operated without a permit as long as you maintain visual contact with the device at all times. In principle, you are not allowed to operate a drone above gatherings of people. In some places or zones, drones are strictly prohibited. You can view the map and find further information here: http://www.ch.ch/en/safety-and-justice/police/drones/
