Free bus service with Flex Pass?
A traveler is asking if they can use free local bus services on a day they haven't activated their 4-day Flex Pass, specifically on Tuesday, while planning to travel by rail every other day like Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. They also want to know if this applies to boat rides on Lake Geneva.
- You must activate your Flex Pass for each day you want it to be valid for transport, so using local bus services without activation won't work.
- Consider other travel passes if your itinerary varies greatly.
- For local buses in cities, you might as well pay the fares, as they are relatively low.
- Boat rides count the same as trains in terms of Flex Pass usage.

If I’m using a 4-day Flex Pass that has been activated on Monday, can I use free local bus service on Tuesday without using up another day on the Flex Pass? My intent is to travel by rail every other day, i.e. Mon, Wed, Fri and Sun. Can I use the “free” bus services on the other days without “spending” a day of my Flex Pass? What about boat rides (e.g. Lake Geneva)?
