Our group of 4 seniors will be arriving Geneva via train from Paris (tickets already purchased) on September 6, arriving 15:27.
1. We were thinking of waiting until we arrive at the train station to purchase a 3 day Swiss Travel Pass (presently 210 CHF P/P) - is there a downside to waiting until we arrive in Switzerland to make this purchase?
Then we were going to the visitor information booth (which I understand is in the train station) to inquire about city tours so we may get acquainted with Geneva and view the city highlights. We will stay 2 nights in Geneva (hotel booked already) then wish to take the Golden Pass trip via Montreux on to Luzern on Sept. 8th. In Luzern we wish to do the Golden round trip to Mt. Pilatus.
2. Will the personnel at visitor information in the train station be able to assist us with all this as well as possibly selling some tickets, e.g. the Golden Round Trip.
We will stay 2 nights in Luzern then on to Zurich on Sept 10th, using the 3 day pass the 8th 9th and 10th.
3. Is our thinking on doing it this way sound or not?
Appreciate your input. Thank You
