Traveling from Zurich to Zermatt, do I need a transfer pass and half off pass? Want to get a peak pass when I get to Zermatt! Will the half off ticket help with any discount on a peak pass?

A Swiss Half Fare Card gets you a little discount on the Zermatt Peak Pass, but not 50%. Buying a Swiss Transfer Ticket will save you more. In that case you’d pay the normal price for the Zermatt Peak Pass.

You can print the Swiss Transfer Ticket at home via http://www.swissrailways.com/ en. Pick “Online Ticket” when asked for a delivery option. All purchase options are listed here: myswissalps.com/ swisstransferticket/ price.
