Golden Round Trip Mt. Pilatus in half a day?

    Is this trip able to be completed in a half day so we may spend the afternoon in Lucerne ? Also am I correct that the boat to Alpnachstat, and the train from Kriens back to Lucerne are fully covered by the Swiss pass ? And that the cog train / gondola offer a 50% reduction ? Thanks

    Everything you said is correct apart from the fact that you travel back from Kriens to Luzern by No. 1 bus; not by train. You walk down from the Gondola Station to the Kriens, Zentrum Pilatus bus stop. It’s about a 6 to 7 minute walk and is well sign-posted. See attached map.
