Over an hour ago, I tried to order two adult 8 consecutive day Swiss Travel Passes from Happy Rail. I input all the info for both people and then when it came time to pay by credit card, the total cost showed the total cost for only one person. I went ahead and input my credit card info, thinking that it was just going to charge me separately for the two adults, even though that seemed odd. Well, it charged me for one, but not the 2nd pass. And I still have not received the one pass by email that I was charged for, though their website says I should receive it within 30 minutes. I assume they are closed now since it’s about 1:15 in the morning in Switzerland. Any ideas? We leave the USA one week from today. Thanks.

And I did check my junk folder, and it’s not there either.

    Hi Kfordco,

That’s unfortunate! But it will be solved, no worries. Please see http://www.myswissalps.com/ab outus/partners/happyra il for how to contact them and which information to include in your e-mail. Their office will be open in 2 hours from now and they should respond in less than 4 hours. If not, please let us know. Once solved, please let us know too if possible.

As this sounds like a technical issue it might be helpful for their team if you let them know which browser you were using and if you were ordering on a desktop computer, tablet or smart phone.

Thank you for the link and information! I woke up today to an email reply from HappyRail with a pdf attachment of my Swiss Travel Pass–Yeah! No explanation as to why the 2nd pass didn’t go through, but I did resubmit the necessary info for that 2nd pass about an hour ago (16:30 their time) and was charged for it. No confirming email or pdf file for that 2nd pass yet. I don’t understand why I don’t get the email and file automatically. I may have to email them again today about that. I’ll post again when that gets resolved.

I would also like to thank MySwissAlps for all the invaluable information I’ve been able to glean from this forum in planning our upcoming trip. Thank you for being here! -Karen

Good to hear that Karen! Normally it’s all automated so this must have been a glitch. That’s for Happyrail to sort out. It sounds like it will all be fine, but if not please let us know.

Not yet, but I hope to tomorrow when they open for business. I have emailed them and hope they’ll send me an email with the STP as a pdf attachment like they did for the first pass that I ordered. I will let you know.

    Hi Bapineedu,

I wouldn’t worry about it. So far this is the only case with delayed delivery. But you can always order via https://shop.switzerla ndtravelcentre.com/#/e n/home and get your Swiss Travel Pass delivered in 5 minutes.

    Sorry to highjack your post.

I am going to buy stp from happyrail website and i saw the option of countries to fill after the first date of travel column, so my question here do i need to fill country of citizenship or country of residence in that column.

    Thanks

    Hi bubbybains,

It needs to match your passport which you will need to show you along with the Swiss Travel Pass when on the train.

Just wanted to clarify one thing. I have order the STP (3 days) via happy rail and got the mail with travel pass within an hour. Is it the original pass I can directly use or should I show this once I land in Zurich airport and take the original pass by showing this?

You can print the received pass. No need to do anything in Zurich. Have fun!
