    Hi all,
I am travelling to Switzerland this January with my husband and son. We shall arrive at Zurich on 1st Jan at 0830 by train from Amsterdam and leave from Geneva on 6th jan at 0630 by fight to Madrid. Our tentative itinerary is as follows:

1st jan – arrive at Zurich at 0830, store luggage at Zurich station and explore the city, evening proceed to interlaken and check in at Swiss Backpackers Hostel.
2nd to 4th jan – make day trips with interlaken as base
5th jan – interlaken to Geneva, overnight at Geneva
6th jan – flight from Geneva at 0630.

I particularly want your advise on the day trips and excursion possibilities during 2nd to 4th jan. I have jungfrau, glacier express, golden pass, Lucerne etc in my mind. I shall get a 5 day flexi Swiss pass.

    Waiting for your suggestions.

Welcome Saheli! From Interlaken you can best visit the Jungfraujoch (up via Wengen and down via Grindelwald for example), maybe Schilthorn too, explore small towns on your way, travel part of the Golden Pass route (for example between Lucerne and Gstaad), pay a visit to Lucerne and travel around the lakes; consider a boat trip over lake Thun for example. The Glacier Express is in a different part of the country and it’s not doable as a day trip from Interlaken. The timetable will help you plan each trip. Information and purchase options for the Swiss Saver Flexi Pass are available here. Does that get you started?
