Hello

we're a young copule from Portugal, and we're going to a 5 day trip to Switzerland. We will arrive at Geneve airport on 0ct 18 and will leave at the some location on Oct 23!

We are mostly interested in the landscape, natural sites and some hiking! We were thinking on going directly to the Interlaken region and book 4 night at the same location and go from there! The last night would be booked on Geneve.

I would like some advice about where to stay? Grindelwald seems a good place to stay (not so urban)! We are on a budget so if there's a beatiful place not so expensive...

We would like to visit one of the mountains... Jungfraujoch, Matterhorn or take the Mont Blanc Experss! Which one do you think is the best and less expensive?

thanks for any information.

Hi Cslodeiro -

Welcome to My Swiss Alps.

Good idea.

You have a good chance that the Berner Oberland will welcome you. However, you are getting near the end of the "Summer' season, and can expect snow...maybe.

Altitude matters.

Mont Blanc Express is not close to the Berner Oberland.. Nearer Geneva, I guess.

Everytrhing in Switzerland is "expensive." But,here are some ideas.

After Interlaken, Grindelwald is the most "commercial" of the small towns in the valleys south of Interlaken.

Each own has its fans. Grindelwald, Lautrerbrunnen, Mürren,Wengen....I like Wengen.

There are budget accommodations available.. Arno and Annika can point you to some.

You might also post that query in the "accommodations" section of the Forum.
