Hello everyone,

We are planning our one week vacation in Interlaken and would appreciated some help from your part.
Our arrival is planned for 4th August (from Milan), while the departure is set on 11th August.
We would like to visit the following (not particularly in this order):
- Aletsch Glacier
- Jungfraujoch
- Oeschinen lake
- Bachse lake
- Waterfalls near Lauterbrunnen (Trümmelbachfälle)
- Grindelwald
- Grimselpass
- Meiringen
- some hikes between these areas

These are not mandatory. We would also like a boat trip if we find the time. Considering all this, we thought that the Berner Oberland Regional Pass for 15 days would give us a good opportunity to take advantage of the magnificent view and reach the areas we'd like to see. Can you please advise us where would be most convenient to find accommodation? Also, where can we find cheap accommodation in that area (maybe a studio in a chalet) considering that we'll have the pass so the travelling would not be such a big problem? Do you think that we waste our money by staying only 7 days and having a 15 days pass? What do you think would be the alternatives to that?

Sorry for the number of questions, but there are a lot of passes and tickets and we don't really know what would be most convenient from a price point of view.

Thank you.

Hi Little.skip,

You have selected some beautiful spots to visit! A Regional-Pass Bernese Oberland would be a logical choice. Please be aware there is a slightly cheaper 7-day variant as well, but it includes less days of free traveling. If you want to compare passes, you can best review this FAQ, but I think you've made the right choice.

As for lodging, please check the sites of our partners:

We're working on new hotel pages as well, so just keep an eye on our website. I hope this helps for now!

Thank you very much Arno for the helpful information. I will make an exact trajectory to see if the 7 day pass would have mode advantages. Maybe we'll just do some hikes in the last 3 days, so the 7 days pass will come in handy.
