Hello,

We are visiting Switzerland next month and will be spending about 3 days in Zurich. We're looking for ideas/places to visit there. So far we have put in Grossmünster, Fraumünster, Zurich West, Kunsthaus Museum, Lindenhof platz and Zurich altstadt in general. Is there anything else that might be interesting to see if it's our first time in Zurich?

We're considering going a bit beyond Zurich (Schaffhausen or Zug) if there's not much to do in the city itself - would welcome any suggestion for a day trip as well :) (1-2 hours train ride away from Zurich).

Thanks in advance!

Hello jmtan,

Have a look at this trip report. St Gallen is definitely worth a look as is a day trip to Luzern.

Hello Jmtan,

Please find recommendations about what to do in and around Zurich in below link:

The Old Town Walk in Zurich is nicely described here:

Boat trips on the Lake are for sure also very popular:

You could also consider a trip to the Rhine Falls, about an hour from Zurich by train, find input on the falls as well as information about how to work with the timetable of Swiss trains in below link:

Happy planning and get back to us anytime for more input.

Best,
Steph
