    Hi,

I’m planning a Swiss trip with my wife.
After reading few topics on this forum, I’ve decided to buy the Swiss Saver Pass (4 days consecutive) and purchanse a separate ticket for the 5th day.

Following are the details we have decided on: 4 nights at Interlaken.

    1. Day 1: Reach Zurich or Geneva and board a train to Interlaken
    2. Day 2: Interlaken – Jungfrau – Interlaken
    3. Day 3: Interlaken – Engelberg – Mt. Titlis – Engelberg – Interlaken
    4. Day 4: Interlaken – Cruise on Lake Thun
    5. Day 5: Interlaken – Basel – Paris.

I would like know whether our plan for day 3, i.e. Interlaken – Engelberg – Mt. Titlis – Engelberg – Interlaken, is OK?
What would be the cost of the Cruise on Lake Thun?
I need few expert advise and tips before we finalize on the above plan.

    Thanks,
    Avishek

    HI
Yes you can go from Interlaken Ost to Engelberg in 2 hours 49 min. I f you leave Interlaken Ost at 8:04 am you will be in Engelberg at 10:53 changing in Hergiswil. It is about 15 min walk to the lower cable car station from the train station.
On the return you could go throgh Luzern and Bern in 3 hours 28 minutes.
There is no charge on the Lake Thun with the Swiss Pass. If you have a 2nd class pass you must stay on the main deck of
the boat ( not on the upper deck)

    Hi,

Thanks for the prompt reply 🙂
In order to reach Engelberg, do we have to change train at Hergiswil? That is, Interlaken – Hergiswil – Engelberg.
What do you mean by “15 min walk to the lower cable car station from the train station.”?

    Thanks,

Yes you have to change trains in Hergiswil.
When you leave the station in Engelberg turn right and follow the yellow signs to the lower station of the cable car to Titlis. It is about a 15 min walk.
