    Hi guy,

This is the first time we are going to Switerzland in June (25 to 28) and are planning to stay in Bern for 1 day and Interlaken for 3 days and after that heading to Paris.

Our main itineary are to go Schilthorn and Jungfraujoch.

    Day 1 : Bern

Day 2 : Lake (not sure which lake to go yet)

    Day 2 : Schilthorn

    Day 4 : Jungfraujoch

Intend to buy the swiss travel pass for 3 days but would not decide which pass is worth it so that we can make good use of it for this 3 days.

    Thank you.

Hi Christ and welcome to MySwissAlps!

Day 2: If you are staying in Interlaken, Lake Brienz or Lake Thun make the most sense – both nice!

To know which pass is the best for your specific itinerary you need to plan out all trips you will make (train, bus, boat, cable car) and compare the prices for regular tickets to the rail pass price (and which routes/mountains are free or discounted). Once you have that information you can read our page here on how to choose the best rail pass. There is a spreadsheet there to help with the math. 🙂

The Swiss railways timetable can help you find schedules and regular ticket prices (the first price you see is for Swiss Half Fare Card holders – double it to find the regular price).

How are you arriving in Bern? Depending on where you are coming from a 4-day Pass may be more suitable.

In any event even if you don’t save much you will find a STP super flexible and convenient

From Lauterbrunnen a very nice circuit to do is to Grütschalp (cable car), Mürren (cogwheel train), Gimmelwald (cable car), Stechelberg (cable car), Lauterbrunnen (bus). From Mürren you can easily visit Schiltorn. In between Stechelberg and Lauterbrunnen the bus stops at the Trummelbach Falls. Well worth a look. All these places are searcheable on the MySwissAlps website.

Don’t miss Schynigge Platte if you have time.
