    Hi,

I am planning to visit Swiss in June 19 and below is my itinerary .

    My questions are:

    1. Do you think this is ‘can do’ itinerary? Any changes I need to do to make it more comfortable, enjoyable/affordable?

    2. Should I buy 4 day Swiss Travel pass or 4 day flex pass?

    Day 0 – 11 June 19 – Zurich

Arrive at Zurich airport 10:00 AM. Keep luggage in locker and board train to Rhine falls.

Depart from Rhine falls around 3:00 PM, pick luggage and check in in hotel

Fresh up and do Zurich local site seeing, overnight in Zurich

NOTE: CHECK WEATHER FORECAST AND PLAN EXCURSIONS. Check weather and decide where to go.

    Day 1 – 12 June 19 – Lucerne

Breakfast in Zurich hotel and train to Lucerne. Reach Lucerne at 11. Local site seeing

Check in at hotel, fresh n up and leave for Mt. Rigi (take boat to Vitznau from Luzern and then a coggle train to Rigi)

    Day 2 – 13 June 19 – Lucerne

Breakfast in hotel and leave for Mt. Pilatus (Golden round trip)

If time permits local site seeing

    Day 3 – 14 June 19 – Wengen

Breakfast in hotel and depart to Wengen, check in in hotel ( or check out and depart for Mt. Titlis and from there go to Wengen and check in )

Local site seeing in Wengen if time permits

    Day 4 – 15 June 19 – Wengen

    Breakfast and depart for Jungfrau

    Day 5 – 16 June 19 – Wengen

    Rest and local site seeing

    Day 6 – 17 June 19 – Paris

    Breakfast and depart for Paris

    Thanks

    Satish

Hi Satish1503 and Welcome to MySwissAlps,

Your itinerary is quite fantastic and nicely paced. There’s not a lot I can add.

Day 3 can become long-ish if you include Mount Titlis, for still do-able. For details about travelling times and connections for your trip use our timetable. Make sure you understand how it works, it’s a fantastic tool for planning.

As you will be on the move and using some sort of transportation each day I think a consecutive Swiss Travel Pass makes sense. For details:

To calculate detail numbers you can use the spreadsheet in this link:

Btw, you can find helpful information and input on all of your destinations by typing them into the search bar of this site.

For input on the weather use:

    Thanks Steph,

The Swiss Travel pass is useful for me only while travelling from Zurich to Lucerne and from Lucerne to Wengen. Correct?

For excursions from Lucerne and Wengen, I will get discount on the tickets of cable car and/or coggle train and/ or boat.

I will also get discount on Golden pass and other scenic journy’s.

What is major use of Swiss travel pass for me then?

    Hi Satish,

To see exact validity of the Swiss Travel Pass use the following link, incl. a fantastic, detailed, zoom-able map:
    http://www.myswissalps.com/sw isstravelpass/validity

To find out regular prices for comparison use the timetable link and double the prices you get per journey, as the default setting are the half fare tickets.

    Best,
    Steph
