    Hello folks,

We are a family of three people that includes a 3 year old and we are planning to travel in Switzerland in first week of May (May 2nd-May 6th).

Could you please take a look and provide better suggestions or feedback on the trip to make it more enjoyable and efficient ?

We will be coming in from Paris. We have not yet decided whether to fly in or take the train.

Day 1- May 2nd : Paris to Interlaken : Interlaken to Schilthorn and then to funicular to Harder Kulm

Day 2- May 3rd – Interlaken to Grindewald to Jungfraujoch and return back

Day 3- May 4th- Interlaken to Lucerne in the morning ; Lucerne Lake and Lucerne city neighborhood

Day 4-May 5th – Lucerne to Mt. Titlis or Mt Pilatus and return to Lucerne. I haven’t decided which one to do, suggestions or thoughts about this.

Day 5-May 6th – .We have this day available.

Thanks in advance. your help is truly appreciated.

Hello trvlbeyond1 and Welcome to MySwissAlps,

    Itinerary looks fine.

Take train Paris – Basel – Interlaken.

Day 2 go up via Grindelwald and down via Wengen.

    Day 5 see http://www.myswissalps.com/lu cerne/activities.

    Hi RockOyester,

    Thank you for your reply.

Without a car available, how do we get to Lucerne Lake ? Is Uber an option in Lucerne ?

    thanks

Depends where you are staying. The Lake Lucerne ferries depart from right out front of the Lucerne main station.

    Hi Suhail,

Day 1 is very long. Have looked into the train schedules to see about timings? Are you leaving Paris quite early? Also when choosing a rail pass, note that some mountains are free or discounted more than others.

IE Pilatus & Titlis are 50% off with the Swiss Travel Pass but Rigi is free. Schilthorn is also free with that rail pass.

Oops. I missed that Schilthorn AND Harder Kulm on top of Paris to Interlaken. Definitely ambitious. Maybe Harder Kulm at a pinch.
