We are traveling to Lauterbrunnen in early June 2019 and staying for 3 nights. What are the must see/do’s for the area. We love physical activities and the outdoors. Additionally, we love good food and off the beaten path culture vs fancy restaurants etc.

Yes. Lots aof poor quality snow, with trails above 2000 meters inaccessible. Maybe, above 1500 meters. Depends on the last Winter’s snowpack.

In the high Alps, trails open up at approximately June 15th, plus or minus a week or two.

The weather in the Alps can be predicted right now. Ican guarantee that It will be frequently changing, and any further prediction made more than 48 hours in advance is 95% unreliable.

Lauterbrunnen is at a lower altitude than the high trails, hence, it thaws out during May. However, because it is in a steep sided and deep valley, it does not get as much sun as locations at higher altitude.
