Can I use a Swill half fare card to travel the various ways up to Schilthorn and Jungfraujoch?

Any input on costs would be appreciated.

We are also thinking of driving up to Interlaken and taking a boat ride on lake on lake Thun and Brienz.

Hi Tnuhr and welcome to MySwissAlps!

Yes, the Swiss Half Fare Card can be used to get to those mountains. The SHFC will get you 50% off all trips you make in Switzerland (by bus, train, boat, cable car). Read about what is covered by the Swiss Half Fare Card here & How to buy it online here.

    Thank you

It seems difficult to find out the price with the card compared with the ful price. And the website seems to say that it is not necessarily good for all mountain trips.

The Swiss timetable will give you a price for a selected route. The first price that comes up is the 1/2 fare price.

I’m not sure where it might say the SHFC isn’t good for mountain trips. It gets you 50% off which is always nice.:) You can also look at the Swiss Travel Pass. Some mountain trips are free (Schilthorn) and some are discounted less (25% to Jungfraujoch) with it.
