Will be staying 4 days in Lucerne and we will be hiking and biking. With any of the passes can we take our bikes on the boat from various places on Lake Lucerne? Also will be going to Pilatus and Stanserhorn for day trips. Which pass would you suggest? Thank you in advance Mike

    Welcome to MySwissAlps, Mike!

It looks like a 4 day Tell Pass suits your needs. It allows free traveling in the Lake Lucerne region, including boats and mountain transportation. Please find details and purchase options at our Tell Pass page.

Whether or not you can take along your bike does not depend on the type of rail pass you have. With a special additional ticket, you can take along your bike in most trains, as explained at the SBB website. As for boats: bikes will be transported at an additional fee of CHF 8 per single journey and CHF 12 per return journey, and only if there’s enough capacity. Please check the Lake Lucerne page for more information. You may want to contact them and find out if you can make reservations for your bikes in advance.

Thank you Annika for the very fast reply. That will be the pass (Tell Pass) we buy when we arrive in Lucerne and check for reservation for the 2 bikes. Again thank you Mike
