Luggage storage facility at Basel train station

Hello,

We will be travelling to Lucezerne via Basel (SBB train station code). We would like to step out for 3-4 hours to check out the Basel old town. Does the Basel train station offer any service to temporary store luggage for about 4 hours? Trying to see if we can explore the town for a few hours without hauling the luggage. I have looked into the luggage delivery from station to station but am not keen on it.

any suggestions on possible options will help.
