    Hello,

I will be travelling to Wengen in the next week. I have checked for the rail connections from Lauterbrunnen. There is one connection every 30 minutes for Wengen station.

I am travelling with my family and we have some luggages to carry as we have booked our stay in Wengen. We are 3 adults and have 5 medium sized bags

When I see the train, I see it is a small train with small bogies and all the tourist crowd for Jngrafrauoch will be using this train. Hence I am assuming that it will be crowded most of the time.

Is there any separate bogie in that train for Luggages in the train which connects Lauterbrunnen to Wengen ?

How shall I carry the luggages ? What do you recommend ?

Do I need to do seat reservations for that ?

Is there any other way of transport from Lauterbrunnen to Wengen ?

    Regards/ Shubhadeep

    Hi Shubhadeep,

We are in Wengen at the moment and use the train to and from Lauterbrunnen a lot. No-one appears to have trouble finding room for their luggage. The trains are large and the Swiss seem to put on extra trains when they think it will be busy which is usually early morning. A separate train is sometimes reserved for large groups.

You will have no trouble transporting your luggage.

    Hope you enjoy your trip,

    Jane

    Hello Subhadeep,

I entirely agree with Jane, you should not have any major issues in transporting your luggage, train-wise. The trains provide enough space for luggage normally and the company is used to travellers arriving/departing with luggage, so they’re prepared.

There are options to have your luggage sent to your destination by the Swiss SBB rail company, but this normally takes more than one day, which can be a little impractical.
