We would like to do the trip from Luzern to Lugano, doing both the Luzern lake trip plus the William Tell train. Do we have to book this trip and if so, when should we do this (we will be doing this mid August) and how much would this trip cost> We will have a swiss travel card when we do the trip. Thanks in advance

    Hi aussie,

You can either do this trip entirely free with your Swiss Travel Pass, or book the “official” 1st class Wilhelm Tell Express package. It can be booked from 3 months ahead of time. Details about the trip and booking links are here: myswissalps.com/wilhelmtellexpress.

fantastic. Could you advise how I can find departure times for this trip. We are going to do both the lake and the W.Tell train trip. Thanks.

There’s a link under “More on other websites” on the page I gave you. In case you want to book the package: you can order it along with your rail pass through the link on the Wilhelm Tell Express page.
