Javier will be traveling to Switzerland next Saturday for 8 days and got the Swiss Travel Pass for unlimited transportation. Can anyone confirm if taking big luggage in trains and buses would be an issue?

    Hi Javier,

You can take luggage on the train without problem. There are luggage racks to store them. Local city buses are trickier but you’ll find room.

As a family we travelled with 4 large suitcases . We found that the Swiss coaches had adequate storage space (by way of racks) at the beginning of each coach . Luggage can also be shoved in between seat rows . Luggage is not an issue on the swiss trains .Even the panoramic trains (Glacier , BErnina , Golden Pass) have adequate space for luggage . The situation is the same with the smaller regional trains .

Buses can be difficult at times ..
