    Hi,

I will be travelling from Milan to Switzerland and thinking to have Lucerne to be the first stop. Will following travel plan works?

Day 1 : MILAN IT MALPENSA (MXP) to Lucerne (via italiarail).

Day 4 : Leave Lucerne to Montreux (via Swiss Travel Pass, 8 days)

Day 6 : Leave Montreux to Zermatt (via Swiss Travel Pass, 8 days)

    Thanks.

    Welcome to MySwissAlps kellyask!

Yes, your plan will work. Right now it only includes town to town transfers. If you have more detailed questions, please include what you intend to do in Lucerne, Montreux and Zermatt (what are your interests?), when you’ll be traveling, the number of travelers, where will you go after Zermatt, etc.

Will be travelling with 2 old folks in Mid Mar’16. Do we still need make seats reservation since we will be using Swiss Travel Pass ? Or can we just hop into the next available train ?

Day 1 : MILAN IT MALPENSA (MXP) to Lucerne (via italiarail). Stay Lucerne to cover Mount Titlis , Mount Rigi.

Day 4 : Leave Lucerne to Montreux (via Swiss Travel Pass, 8 days // Golden Pass line Free). Stay Montreux to visit Chillon Castle.

Day 6 : Leave Montreux to Zermatt (via Swiss Travel Pass, 8 days). Stay Zermatt to visit Matterhorn, gornergrat.

Day 8 : Leave for Milan

    Hi kellyask,

Nearly all trains from Italy to Switzerland require a seat reservation, but trains within Switzerland do not and you can just hop on. It is explained in detail here: myswissalps.com/ train/ reservations.

    So, what you need is:

As you can see from the above pages you can buy all of that from a single site. In your case it makes sense to do so through your local retailer at http://www.raileurope.com.sg/ pass/swiss-travel-pass-82.
