More info needed on Swiss Saver flexi pass

I want to purchase a Swiss Saver Flexi Pass that includes unlimited train, bus, and boat travel for a certain number of days within a month. My question has to do with the use of the funiculars, gondolas, etc. Is the 50% price reduction for those rides available only on the select number of unlimited travel days, or is it valid throughout the use of the pass? I am not finding a clear answer to that in the Swiss Pass information.

The Swiss Saver Flexi Pass offers a fixed number of free travel days. On all days between the first and last day of free travelling, the 50% discount applies. You can choose the first and last day of free travelling yourself, as long as the last day is not more than one month after the first day.
