Mount Pilatus with a Swiss Family Card

Short summary – read this first

Persis is planning a trip in Switzerland with two adults and a child (14 years old) using Swiss Travel Passes. She wants to know if her child can travel free on the Cogwheel with the family pass and how to obtain a refund for the purchased tickets.

Key takeaways:
  • With the Swiss Family Card, children under 16 travel for free when accompanied by an adult with a valid rail pass or tickets.
  • For ticket refunds, contact the reseller you purchased from directly.

We have Swiss Travel passes for 2 adults and 1 family pass for child (14yr). I purchased 50% off tickets for the Alpnachstad – Kriens | Single trip for 2 adults as well as for the child. Does the child travel free on the Cogwheel with the family pass? If that’s the case how do I get a refund back.

    Thanks

    Persis
