    Hi,

I’ve only one day in Luzern and plan to visit Mount Titlis on 06th September. As per the current weather report it’ll be snowing all the time and temperature will be around -6 celsius.

Is it worth going to Mount Titlis in such a weather. I’ve read at lot of places if it’s cloudy then it makes no sense to go to the Mount titlis. Please suggest.

    Abhishek.

    Hi Abhishek,

The temperature is wonderful, but snowfall is a problem. You won’t see anything in such as case. The weather report for the 6th does not look that good now. The afternoon seems to be slightly better than the morning. The best you can do is check the forecast again on Saturday night and Sunday morning, and have an alternative plan at hand.

    Hi Arno,

Thx for the prompt reply. My alternate plan is to go to Mount Pilatus or Mount Rigi.

One more thing, i already have a plan to go to Jungfrau so is it a good idea to miss Mount Titlis and go for Mount Pilatus/Mount Rigi. I’ve heard Mount Titlis is little bit similar to Jungfrau.

    Hi Abhishek,

I would recommend an alternative plan other than another mountain. If it’s bad weather all day long any mountain will have zero visibility on the top. A boat trip could be better, or a museum or interesting town (e.g. Bern).

Mount Titlis is very different from the Jungfraujoch. If you check our pages about these excursions you can see the details yourself, and see what you like best. If you also read our Rigi and Pilatus pages you have all the info to make the right choice.
