    Hi,

I was wondering is it feasible/recommended to do Mt Titlis leaving Lucerne on way to Wengen? We are thinking of doing Mt. Pilatus and/or Mt. Rigi while staying in Lucerne, but wouldn’t have time to do all three from staying in Lucerne, but it looks like Mt. Titlis is a potential option en route to Wengen. If possible, what is the recommended route? We are primarily interested in doing hiking while visiting these areas and views/experience, not necessarily the “activities” at these, unless there are some not to miss/try activities. More information – we will be in Wengen (3 nights) and Zermatt (2 nights). Thank you for your opinions/assistance.

    Hi T,

Traveling to Engelberg and Titlis is a pretty big detour if you’re heading from Lucerne to Wengen. It can be done though if you can allocate enough time for it. The timetable and our Titlis page will provide you with route details and timings. Pilatus and/or Rigi would make more sense, as you’ll be able to pass Lucerne again on your way to Wengen, which allows you to pick up your luggage there. If you’re fond of hiking, Rigi would be your best option.
