Hi Ashfromny and welcome to MySwissAlps!

Every day looks just fine except day 1. That can’t all be fit in 1 day. Taking out the Geneva lake cruise (you are doing one in Lucerne as well) might make the most sense. You’ll probably need to take something else out too. You can use the Swiss railways timetable to plan out each trip (you can use town names or addresses) so you can find travel times. https://www.myswissalp s.com/timetable

You can order the Swiss Travel Pass online here: https://www.myswissalp s.com/swisstravelpass/ price and be sure to order the Swiss Family Card online as well. It allows your children to travel with you for free everywhere you go (even if you have to pay with the STP). https://www.myswissalp s.com/swissfaimlycard

Thank you Lucas for the quick response. I have ordered the swiss travel pass for 8 days through your Happyrail link. Unfortunately by mistake i ordered the start date for my spouse incorrectly and as advised by Happy Rail i have booked a new ticket with them with the hope of getting a full refund on the other ticket, as i realized the incorrect date as soon as i booked the ticket.

Can you please advise best way to travel from Vevey to Zermatt. As i read in the travel forums about Klein Matterhorn and cogwheel trains and all and it is a bit confusing.

From Vevey, you can take a train to Zermatt via Visp. The timetable gives you that route be default (quickest option): https://www.myswissalp s.com/timetable – about 3 hours.

From Zermatt you can travel up to Gornergrat (cogwheel train) or Klein Matterhorn (cable car) for mountain experiences and the best views of the Matterhorn.
