I wanted to reserve 3 tickets for Willhelm Tell Pass for July 5, 2016. We could either get a train from Lugano or Bellinzona. I’ve tried using Lucern-boat Wmtell, Switzerland as the arrival place, but it’s not giving me any schedules. I was able to reserve tickets for Glacier and Golden Pass without any problems. Am I missing something here?

    Hi id,

You may have missed the announcement on the Wilhelm Tell Express page about reservations not being available online at this time.

Thanks. Any idea why? Is it full?

No, it’s not full. I think it’s a technical issue. As you can see on the linked page you can even travel without reservations, so there won’t be a problem.

I really appreciate your input. Just one more question, we have accomodation reserved in St. Moritz on July 4. The following day (July 5), we want to go to Lucerne via William Tell. What would be the easiest and safest route – St Moritz to Lugano or to Bellinzona? I could not see a direct train from ST MOritz to Lugano or to Bellinzona.

There are buses from St. Moritz and from Thusis to Bellinzona. The buses from Thusis operate more frequently so these might suit your plans better. All these buses require advance reservations. Please see the info and links on myswissalps.com/ bus/reservations.
