November trip in Switzerland itinerary help

    For the other trips, do I need to book the ticket in advance to get a better price?

    Not normally but you may sometimes see Supersaver Fares available (marked % on the timetable). Beware though if you buy one of those it is only valid for the specific journey at the specific time. If you miss the train you will have to buy another ticket. You can of course buy normal fare tickets in advance if you want to.
