    Hi travelers,

The Swiss Travel Pass (Flex) prices will vary by the season from 2021. The start date of the pass determines the price. Here are the new prices:

    Swiss Travel Pass 2nd class

    • 3 days: CHF 251 (May 1 to October 31), CHF 232 (rest of the year)
    • 4 days: CHF 309 (May 1 to October 31), CHF 281 (rest of the year)
    • 8 days: CHF 459 (May 1 to October 31), CHF 418 (rest of the year)
    • 15 days: CHF 573 (May 1 to October 31), CHF 513 (rest of the year)

    Swiss Travel Pass 1st class

    • 3 days: CHF 400 (May 1 to October 31), CHF 369 (rest of the year)
    • 4 days: CHF 492 (May 1 to October 31), CHF 447 (rest of the year)
    • 8 days: CHF 729 (May 1 to October 31), CHF 663 (rest of the year)
    • 15 days: CHF 906 (May 1 to October 31), CHF 810 (rest of the year)

Swiss Travel Pass Flex 2nd class

    • 3 days: CHF 289 (May 1 to October 31), CHF 267 (rest of the year)
    • 4 days: CHF 355 (May 1 to October 31), CHF 323 (rest of the year)
    • 8 days: CHF 513 (May 1 to October 31), CHF 467 (rest of the year)
    • 15 days: CHF 629 (May 1 to October 31), CHF 563 (rest of the year)

Swiss Travel Pass Flex 1st class

    • 3 days: CHF 460 (May 1 to October 31), CHF 424 (rest of the year)
    • 4 days: CHF 566 (May 1 to October 31), CHF 514 (rest of the year)
    • 8 days: CHF 816 (May 1 to October 31), CHF 742 (rest of the year)
    • 15 days: CHF 995 (May 1 to October 31), CHF 890 (rest of the year)

The train line from Le Châtelard in Switzerland to Chamonix in France will no longer be included unfortunately. There are no other changes, so most information here will still apply in 2021:

The Swiss Half Fare Card and Swiss Family Card are unaffected, as is the 15% discount for youth from 16 to 25. Once more news is available, I will share it here.

All Swiss Travel System product details can be found through http://www.myswissalps.com/swissrailpasses.

Update 26 November 2020: the seasonal prices will apply from 2022, not 2021. In 2021, the “rest of the year” prices as listed above will apply the whole year.

Update 29 June 2021: the seasonal prices are cancelled. Please find prices for 2022 here: http://www.myswissalps.com/forum/topic/changes-to-the-swiss-travel-system-passes-in-2022

    Hi Arno,

Let’s hope the price stays about the same for summer and they reduce it for off-peak periods. 😎

    Hi Rockoyster,

I hope you’re doing fine! I have updated my post with the exact prices for next year. No lower prices in low season I’m afraid. Those prices stay the same, while high season is getting more expensive.

This year may be exception but STP price is increasing every year and many mountain excursions are getting withdrawn from free to 50%

    Hi Shroffchetan,

The price increase for next year is indeed substantial. I hope they will rethink that, given the situation the world is in right now. As for mountain excursions: that’s actually very stable. Only minor changes year over year. The changes for 2020 can be found here: http://www.myswissalps.com/forum/topic/overview-of-the-swiss-travel-system-passes-in-2020. Only one change in 2021, so far.

They are making their Half Fare Card look mighty good. We switched to the HFC several years ago when they no longer offered the month long travel pass. Thank you for this update.

    Hi everyone,

Good news: the price increase in high season has been postponed. It will now apply from 2022. Prices will not change in 2021. I added a note to my original post.
