I am trying to organize a 2 day trip in Murren this June. My boyfriend and I are on a strict budget and the railways seem to add up quickly. Any advice on which if any passes we should look into would be MUCH appreciated. He is giving me a hard time because its so expensive but I don’t want to miss out on this beautiful area. We would like to do a few day hikes in the area and are arriving by car from Germany. Thanks!

    Hi kzawie,

A Swiss Half Fare Card would suit your plans I think. It basically gives you 50% off all transportation. Please not that you can’t reach Mürren by car. You need to park in the valley for about CHF 11 per day.

Further tips to save can be found here. Day hikes are listed here.
