    Hello azmeh, welcome to MySwissAlps!

    Day trips in and from Zurich are listed here; note the “What to do” tab.

    A 3 day Swiss Travel Pass is the easiest option for your plans. It will cover the journeys from Lugano to Zurich on July 12, urban transportation in or side trips made from Zurich, and the journey from Zurich to Tirano on July 14. Additionally you need tickets from Milan to Lugano and from Tirano to Milan. Please find information at http://www.myswissalps.com/tr aintickets/italy.

    The timetable will provide all travel options. Just enter your departure stations and destinations to check all train connection. Some further tips:

    • you’ll find direct trains from Lugano to Zurich. It’s a very scenic route, crossing the Gotthard pass;
    • mind to enter the right spelling for Tirano (not Triano or Traino);
    • when searching for connections Zurich-Tirano, enter “Pontresina” as a via-station to force the timetable to display the route including the Bernina Express;
    • further information on the Bernina Express (route, how to reserve seats) can be found at our Bernina Express page.
