my plan : 2 days in Lucerne (1 day mt. Pilatus)

2 days in interlaken ( harder klum and Jung fraun)

day 5th: early morning train from interlaken to Zurich airport

Q1) What would be the ideal rail pass for me covering all these areas/ journeys?

Q2) I can purchase these tickets from any train station in Lucerne?

    Hi avawda,

Q1) A 4-day Swiss Travel Pass would be a good option if you end your stay in Lucerne. That way, you would only need a ticket from Lucerne to Zurich on day 5, which is cheaper than from Interlaken. Another option is the Swiss Half Fare Card. The links explain both options in details. This page helps you choose.

Q2) Please click to the Price section of the above pass pages to see where to buy. In general it’s easier to buy the pass in advance and print it at home so you can use it right away. Also I suppose you need it to travel to Lucerne first. If you need any tickets while using the pass: you can buy these on the spot when you need them.
