Hi bigb4u, and welcome to the forum! I noticed that you submitted the same question twice, so I removed one of your posts. As for your question: with that many long and expensive journeys, an 8 day Swiss Saver Pass would be the best choice. A 5 day Swiss Saver Flexi Pass for the plans mentioned below could be an option as well. That’s about CHF 50.00 cheaper, but if you plan some other trips on the remaining days of your stay as well, the 8 day Swiss Saver Pass is more convenient and more economical.

Your itinerary includes some long journeys, which can be planned in a different order as to reduce traveling times and costs. For example: you could first spend a few days in Zurich, Lucerne or Interlaken and make the trips planned for Aug 2, 6 and 7 on those days. These towns are situated relatively close to another, whereas Lausanne is situated in the south-western part of the country and requires long traveling times for visits to Interlaken/Lucerne/Zurich. Next, you could stay in Lausanne and make your trip to Zermatt from there. The timetable displays all traveling times exactly. If you don’t mind long train journeys, staying in Lausanne and making your day trips from there is fine of course.
