I will be travelling from Interlaken to Lucern by Luzern-Interlaken express to get to Kriens. From train schedule , I see, there is an option to get off at Giswil or Sarnen & then take S5 train to Kriens mattenhoff .

I would like to know whether it is convenient to travel on this local train with luggage.

    Hi sulnata,

You can take along luggage on all Swiss trains, so that’s no problem for the journey you described. If it’s too much to handle comfortably, you may consider one of the SBB’s luggage services.

You’d best change where the timetable suggest you to change. Both stations are small and allow you to change train easily.

Neither station is very large. You might refer to pick up the S5 closer to Kriens, so I’d guess at Sarnen.

I don’t really think it makes much difference.
