We are arriving in Zurich on 21/08/2011 at noon, then travel from the airport straight to Lucerne. While being in Lucerne for 2 days we would like to visit the Mt. Pilatus.
On 23/08/2011 we will go to Interlaken and stay there for 2 days. From Interlaken we will visit Jungfraujuch and Trummelbach Falls.
On 25/08/2011 we will leave for Geneva and from there on 26th morning to Paris.
For this trip we are planning to buy a 3 Day Swiss Flexi Pass which we want to use on the days we are not doing the Mountain Trips.

We would also like to do the Scenic Train Trip.

    · Can you please advise us how we can fit this into our itinerary and which is the best sector to do it.
    · Do I need to reserve the seats on the Scenic Train in advance?
    · Since we are planning to buy the 3 Day Swiss Flexi Pass can we use it on the Scenic Train? Do I need to pay extra money for doing seat reservation?

We would also highly appreciate if you give your suggestions to improve our itinerary by adding more activities to it.
    We are 4 adults, 1 youth (16) and 1 child (13)

Hi jacobc! There are several scenic train rides in Switzerland, so do you have a specific one in mind? The one that would fit in best in your itinerary would be the Golden Pass, first from Lucerne to Interlaken and a few days later from Interlaken to Geneva (via Zweisimmen, Gstaad and Montreux). If you use a free travel day on your Swiss Saver Flexi Pass, the trip itself will be for free. On non-free travel days, a 50% discount applies. In both cases however seat reservations have to be made in advance, and this requires an additional reservation fee.

Day trips in the Interlaken region can be checked at this page. It may be nice to include a boat trip on either lake Lucerne or lake Thun/lake Brienz.

    Have a great stay!
